| similar to the last entry, ive just come back from the film festival. heaps and heaps of everything going on in the last week or so. maybe the tales will be told soon or maybe not.
i had a really horrible monday. my eye swelled up to the sized on a tennis ball. it was painful. its happened before but not nearly as bad. it happened in adelaide last year but went away. normally i get a little swelling on my eyelid and then it disapears over night. this occurred on sunday and then monday morning- bam! i could not open my eye all the way. yuck. i think i probably was poking myself while i slept. i sat with ice on it all day trying to work. staring at a computer screen definitely did not help matters. i left school early and tried to get a docotrs appt. but they were booked up for the night so i made one for tuesday morning. by that time the swelling was greatly reduced and it was only a little bit red. the doc flipped my eyelid inside out which was a weird feeling. reminded me on the doco i watched on ellis island where all new immigrants were subject to eyelid flipping for whatever disease they screen for. advice i got was more ice. i have a perscription written out in case it got worse, or more likely, when it happens again. at least i dont have an eye infection.
tonight i went to see control at the flim festival. wow. so good. the regent was completely packed out, unlike was friday in when it was just very very busy. its on again next saturday and i think i will go see it again, i liked it that much. just think what i would do if a movie was made about a band i really liked. anton corbjin (sp?) was the director.. it took me a good half hour to notice the film was not in colour. oops. apparently they/ he won a bunch of awards at cannes this year. sam riley deserves the rave reviews he recieved for playing ian curtis.
and now i work. |
